SILVIA SOUL…. Enter my world…. Silvia Soul was born in Rancagüa, Chile. A small town located just south of Santiago, the capital city of this little known South American country. Coming from a family of seven, including her twin sister, Silvia always found ways to stand out in a crowd. Her mother often recalls cherished memories of young Silvia’s impromptu performances for family and friends. At the age of 15, Silvia and her family uprooted themselves from there native Chile and immigrated to Los Angeles in search of a better life. Struggling with a new environment and a new way of life Silvia dove into art, focusing her teenage mind in painting and composing music at the age of 17. These disciplines quickly become her way of expression. From Los Angeles, Silvia moves to Mexico City, where she dedicates all of her time training her voice and learning the industries of Latin, pop, rock culture and of the Latin entertainment industry, adding that flavor to her soul of inspiration... After spending 5 years in Mexico City, Silvia returns to Los Angeles to attend the prestigious "Musicians Institute" in Hollywood, rounding out her musical education with a degree in Recording Engineering. Slowly she starts to play out in different venues in L.A. experimenting with new sounds on various projects from R&B to Latin to Jazz to Rock.... The Silvia Soul sound is a deliberate fusion of various genres of music, co-created by an ethnically diverse group of musicians. Rhythm Guitarist, Willis McNeil brings both funk and soul to the arrangement of every song. Lead Guitarist Patricio Lejia lends his touch of latin rock to the compositions. And Martin Yarbrough, the guest percussionist, rounds out the signature sound with hints Brazillian Bossa Nova. Viniendo de una familia de siete, incluyendo a su hermana gemela, Silvia siempre encontró la manera de destacarse entre la multitud. Su madre a menudo recuerda las dulces memorias de la jóvene desempeñandose e improvisando frente a su familia y amigos. A los 15 años, Silvia y su familia deciden emprender nuevos caminos, de su país natal Chile inmigrando a Los Angeles en busca de una mejor vida. Luchando con un nuevo ambiente y un nuevo estilo de vida Silvia decide enfocarse en el arte, manteniendo su mente adolescente enfocada en la pintura y en componer música desde los 17 años. Estas disciplinas llegan a ser rápidamente su manera de la expresión. Desde Los Angeles, Silvia viaja rumbo a México D.F., donde ella dedica todo su tiempo en entrenar su voz y aprender la industria latina del entretenimiento, la cultura pop y rock, agregando ese sabor e inspiración a su alma... Después de pasar 5 años en México D.F., Silvia vuelve a Los Angeles para asistir a un prestigioso colegio unoversitario "Musicians Institute" en Hollywood, adquiriendo su educación musical con un post grado en Ingeniería en Sonido. Lentamente ella empieza a tocar en diferentes lugares locales de shows en vivo experimentando con nuevos sonidos en varios proyectos desde R&B a la musica latina, alJazz, etc... El sonido de Silvia Soul es una fusión deliberada de varios géneros de la música, co-creado con un grupo de diversidad étnica de músicos. El Guitarrista del ritmo, Willis McNeil agregando funk y soul a cada canción. El Guitarrista Lead Patricio Lejia presta su toque de pop latino a las composiciones. Y Martin Yarbrough un amigo que colabora como percusionista, une el sonido con un toque Bossa Nova e insinuaciones Brazsileñas.
